Digging up this old piece, but I actually baked an old 7900GT card yesterday.
Just for the fun of it. It was dead before the heatcycle, but now it runs again

Poor welding, easily fixed !
BTW, I did NOT remove all the plastics, it did survive without any damage what so ever. I Only removed the fan/heatplate
